On site progress of phase I of YOU&ME Hat Works heritage refurbishment project in Luton, for the Hat District in collaboration with Fleet Architects.
Watch the transformation of Luton’s oldest hat factory in the Hat District creative quarter here
Creative residents have moved in newly refurbished Hat House and there is a real buzz of activity in the Hat District! We are delighted that hat making has returned to 32 Guildford Street on the ground floor of Hat House, with new tenants Panama Hat Company & Majesa Panamas, who have a fantastic showroom with a magnificent range of hats.
They also make live demonstration of how their handmade hats are made at the traditional hat block french press!
Hat House is a heritage building project for Culture Trust designed and delivered with our good friends Fleet Architects.
The YOU&ME design refurbishment of Peterson’s Grade II listed Smokehouse in Grimsby for the Great Grimsby Ice Factory Trust has been submitted for planning!
The project is a collaboration with our friends BB Heritage Studio and Fleet Architects

Excited to see our Luton Hat District project with Fleet Architects featured in December issue of Icon magazine! Take a look here..
Our joined design development with Fleet Architects and BB Heritage Studio for Peterson's Smokehouse includes a dark industrial material palette with colour highlights which takes cues from the fish smoking process: the iridescence of fish skin, the coral pink of salmon, the dirty yellow-grey of haddock, the black tar linings of the smoking houses.
Work is underway laying 4,500 colour shingles on our Living Room outside the new British Council offices at IQL Stratford.
This new outdoor pavilion is nestled within the landscape planting by Gustafson Porter + Bowen and mixed-use by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.
Completion due for this October!
Planning permission has been granted on our LIVING ROOM public realm pavilion in Stratford. LIVING ROOM pavillion belongs in a series of playful, fun and engaging house-like forms, which are strategically located around the IQL public realm, offering escapism, tranquility and play!
