AVALON Crafted Coffee F&B unit within Luton Airport (airside).  Our role included architecture and interiors, brand concept, graphic design and brand collateral, as well as coordinating other  consultants and complex sign-offs with the airport authority and other stakeholders.The interiors demonstrate shop design in extremely high footfall environment with stringent fire regulations, circulation requirements and robust maintenance methods.

The AVALON brand is synonymous with escapism, retreat and paradise.   The design takes cues from Australian beach living, creating an indoor/outdoor space which feels intimate yet open. A language of pergolas and verandas is adopted, with filigree metalwork and a fabric ceiling installation designed by Georgia Bosson Studio. This fabric creates a more intimate, softer setting within the airport.  Sustainability is at the heart of the brand and recycled terrazzo and plastic have been used alongside sustainably sourced timber.
