Help us investigate ideas for the re-use of 2 historic buildings within Grimsby’s port! The Grade II listed Peterson’s Smoke House and building 89 (former Fred’s Fisheries) will receive National Lottery Heritage Funding for their refurbishment.  The funding of the project is dependent on a strong business plan which will support the regeneration of the port, aiming to attract further investment to the area; bringing new life, jobs and opportunities.

Your input could shape the future of this part of Grimsby. We’d love to hear from you!

It is marvellous to be involved in the first conservation and restoration project in the historic ‘Kasbah’ area of the Port of Grimsby and work for Great Grimsby Ice Factory TrustNorth East Lincolnshire Council, and Associated British Ports Ltd. We will be working in collaboration with Fleet Architects and BB Heritage Studio to unlock the potential of Peterson’s Smokehouse building and create a fully operating smokehouse with an associated retail outlet!

It has been over a year since we finished the Thornton Heath Regeneration and our recent visit to the High Street was a great opportunity to catch up with the many local shopkeeepers! The shopkeepers gave us their lowdown about how their revamped shops and new branding are improving their business and making them more noticed on the High Street. Hurray for local businesses! For more project details visit our website and High Streets Shopfronts blog.
